'A Walk Through Time' Famine Walk 

The 3rd classes travelled to Clones recently to attend the 'Walk ThroughTime' Famine Walking Tour. The walk which took place on the 9th September 2011 departed from the Canal Stores and consisted of re-enactments by local primary schools of Famine Scenes including Life Before the Famine, Blight sets in, Famine Works, Soup Kitchen and the Workhouse.

The children thoroughly enjoyed their day out and even got to sample some soup from the Soup Kitchen!
