Doodle for Google Success!

We are proud to announce that three of our pupils have reached the National Finals of the Doodle for Google Art Competition. They are: Lucy Loughran, 5^th Class, Caoimhe Treanor, 2^nd Class and Natalia Gancarz, also 2^nd Class. Congratulations are due as well to Lena Kowalska 6^th Class who reached the Regional Semi-Finals stage of the competition.

The girls had to create a design around the Google logo on the theme of “I wish.” Together with their parents and teachers, the three finalists have been invited to a special award ceremony to be held in the Google Headquarters in Dublin in March.

Class group winners have yet to be selected and this is open to a Public Vote. You can support the three girls by logging on to www.google.ie/doodle4google and selecting the Public Vote link.

Pictured left are all the girls who won prizes in the Parents’ Association Sponsored Walk Colouring Competition, which was held before Christmas. There were three winners in every class.

The Sponsored Walk took place on Sunday 22^nd January and was a great success as usual. See our Parents’ Association page for photos of this event.
