Charity Events

Every year we undertake various fund-raising activities for charity.

At Christmas time we always take part in the St. Vincent de Paul Food Appeal. The children bring in various items of non-perishable foods which are used by  the charitable organisation to help feed the local needy at Christmas.

Pictured right is Mrs. Gallagher making the presentation to Mr. Alfie Dinkin, on behalf of the St. Vincent de Paul, at our Christmas assembly on December 21st. The presentation also included the money raised by the fifth classes who went carol singing.

Pictured left is a group of 6th class girls who donated 200 euro ot their Confirmation money to the Haven for Haiti "Build it week 2010." Ciaran Cuddy, Alannah's father, is involved in the project and will be travelling shortly to Haiti to help with the building. He is joined in the photo by Mrs. Rooney and 6th class teacher, Mrs. Coyle.
We are currently collecting old mobile phones for the Jack and Jill Foundation , a charity which provides home nursing care for very sick babies throughout Ireland. If we can collect 300 mobile phones, Promethean will donate an interactive whiteboard to the school. Watch this space for future details!
In late September we held a collection for unwanted clothes which received great support from our parents. The proceeds of this collection will help fund care for cancer patients at St. Luke's Hospital, Dublin.
